Who: Anyone interested in learning more about Cub Scouting! Our pack is open to boys and girls in grades K-5.

What: We will have activities for the kids, information for parents, and ice cream!

Why: Learn what Cub Scouting is about and come join the fun! (And ice cream is yummy.)

SEP 26, 2026

Who: All Cub Scouts. Volunteers needed for an info booth.

What: Parade through town and fair for the day. Recruiting new members, along with Troop 40, at the fair.

When: Meet before 1:45pm. Parade begins at 2pm. Fair runs most of the day, sign up for a time slot.

Where: Parade start 2pm. Fair at East Fishkill Rec.

Why: Have a fun time and show our community what a great pack we have!

Who: All pack families. $15 per person to cover food.  Sign up by Sep 25th.

What: We will be tent camping for an overnight. Bring your own tent(s) for your family. The pack will bring the food for lunch, dinner, and breakfast.

When: Arrive after 9am on Saturday, staying overnight, and leaving Sunday morning.

Where: Campsite #34 at Camp Durland, 1 Clear Lake Rd, Putnam Valley, NY 10579

Why: Enjoy the outdoors with family and friends!

Note: the pack must have an updated Health Form Parts A&B for each person attending (youth and adult). These do not need a doctor signature, only parent signatures.

Who: All pack families. Where your costume!

What: Have a fun Halloween Party with games.

When: 7:15pm normal meeting time.

Where: Gayhead Elementary School Cafeteria

Why: Have fun and celebrate the fall season.

DEC 4, 2026

Who: All Cub Scouts.

What: Build your boats and bring them in to see who can be fastest.

When: 7:15pm normal meeting time

Where: Gayhead Elem cafeteria.

Why: Learn to be good competitors and have a fun time.

The Pack will provide the boat kits a few weeks before the race. They are easy to build. Tips about building your boat at this link.

Who: All Pack 227 families

What: Holiday Party potluck with a special guest visitor!

When: Sunday, Dec 19th from 1pm - 4pm

Where: Stormville Fire House, 112 Old Rte 52, Stormville, NY 12582

Why: Celebrate the season and enjoy some time together.

IMPORTANT: Parents, please bring a wrapped gift for each of your children that our special guest visitor can hand out. Include your child's name. Maximum value $20.

Why: Compete against other packs to show off your scouting knowledge and skills!

SIGN UP WITH YOUR DEN LEADER BY Dec 19th (the Holiday Party). $10 for each AOL/Webelos and $5 for each Bear. The pack is paying the rest of the registration fees.

Dress for the weather. Dress warm with layers you can take on and off! You will be outside the entire day and it is usually very cold.

Who: All cub scouts and siblings

What: Race your Pinewood Derby car down the track and see who can build the fastest car! Prizes for best in den and 1st, 2nd, 3rd overall in pack.

When: Car Weigh Ins: Friday, Feb 26th, during meeting

  Race Day: Saturday, Feb 27th, Noon - 3pm

Note: We will have a build night Jan 29th at the Stormville Firehouse. Car kits are provided by the pack and will be distributed at build night.

Why: Build memories together

Kids had a great time on the playground. Awards and recognition for everyone. Along with burgers, hotdogs, chicken nuggies, salads, and a lot of fellowship being together. Great Way to end the program year and start the summer!

Everyone had a great time at the Spring Campout at Camp Durland! Took a hike out to Clearlake for some fishing. Learned some new scout skills. Lots of good food. Smores over the campfire. Cant wait for next year!

Our Aol and Webelos Dens competed together in the day long Eskimo Run! They tackled the snow with their sled of gear to compete in stations that tested their Scouting skills!

The Bear Den participated in the half day Bear trail where they got to experience a number of stations also. A great preveiw for next year when they really start working on scout skills as Webelos!

The Pack had a wonderful time together before winter break. The kids made crafts and cards for veterans, and got a tour of the fire trucks. We also had a very special visit from Santa!

Special thanks to the Stormville Fire Dept for letting use their facilities and for the tour!

A spoky fun night of games and activities.

The pack had a wonderful time at Camp Durland! Especially the giant campfire. Great fro roasting marshmallows!

Welocme to all the new members who came out! We had a good number of interested families. Ice cream is always a hit!

Cubs had a great time marching in the parade!

Kids had a great time on the playground. Awards and recognition for everyone. Along with burgers, hotdogs, chicken nuggies, salads, and a lot of fellowship being together. Great Way to end the program year and start the summer!

We had a great morning at Red Wing Park. A lot of sunnies were caught and a few perch. Turtles were checking out the action too.

Thanks to the Cubs that joined us for the East Fishkill Memorial Day services. The kids marched from the Community Center to the town Veterans Memorial. Then participated in the Memorial Day service organized by the American Legion Post with wonderful music provided by the Greater Hudson Valley Scout Band (Exploring Post 3609).

Congratulations to all of the winners and every racer today. The cars were entertaining, fast, it was fun to watch the races, and the responses from the racers. It was a great day of racing.

The cub scouts had a great time at the rock climbing gym!

The Fire Hawks (Webelos) & Flaming Griffins (AOL) dens competed against other dens from across the council in the Eskimo Run at James Baird State Park. Each den had to pull their sled between stations that tested their scout skills.

They took Second Overall and also got a ribbon for funniest. Great work!

The Webelos and AOL dens spent the weekend at Camp Durland working on their scout skills in preparation for the upcoming Eskimo Run. 

The Pack got together for its anual holiday party at the Stormville Firehouse. The cub scouts had a fun time making crafts and holiday card for Veterans. We even had a visit from a very special visitor when Santa stopped by to pass out presents to the children.

Three Cub Scouts from our pack joined us for the parade. We marched together with Troop 40 down Rte 82 and ended at the East Fishkill Rec.

OCT 26-27, 2024 

About a dozen families joined us to campout overnight at Camp Durland. The cub scouts went for a hike around Sterling Pond and Clear Lake. The Webelos and AOL dens chopped veggies to help prepare soup for our lunch. The Wolf den helped make a Dutch oven macaroni and cheese for dinner. The Lion and Tiger dens helped make dessert- apple cobbler in the Dutch ovens. After dark, the kids entertained with a shadow puppet show. Unfortunately, there was a fire hazard this weekend so we made the best of it and roasted marshmallows over charcoal to make smores.
